ICANN finally suspend Registerfly.com

We can read the end of Registerfly.com on ICANN website.
After all the damages made by Registerfly to a thousand of users, why it took so long to take such actions ?

http://www.icann.org/announcements/announcement-2-16mar07.htm

Right now as I’m typing this article , their is no update made on the registerfly.com , they still offering domains registration. Wondering if they are now a GoDaddy reseller 🙂

Mad users created web site http://www.registerflies.com/ , you can read awful stories they had with Registerfly.com.

As usual let’s post a small video that explain everything 🙂

Ubuntu: Ms Font & Media Codec

Ubuntu: Ms Fonts & Multimedia codecs Installation

First step is to install the Microsoft Fonts. This can be done in one easy command line.

Sudo apt-get install msscorefonts

Now that the Font are up and running, the second step is to install the multimedia codecs.
Most tutorials show how to install the gstreamer plug-in , but I had a lots of problem with.
Some video doesn’t play and some crash the whole system!
Before going further in the installation process, make sure to update you /etc/apt/source.conf with those repositories

[VIDEO] Microsoft shows how to secure SQL servers

This video shows excerpts from a Microsoft TechEd training class on how to secure a Microsoft SQL server. The purpose here is to show the futility of trying to protect the data in the database from the database level. Data must be protected by the applications that are written to access the data. Think about it; databases are designed to store vast amounts of information and retrieve it on demand.

Credit card fraud exposed

Its confidential information – about your money. But Channel 4 has discovered the personal details of hundreds of thousands of Britons are being sold illegally in India – on a vast scale.

An investigation for the Dispatches programme has revealed just how easy it is to buy secret financial information for as little as £8 – from your address and bank account number to the security code on a debit card.

40% of the world’s largest companies now have call centres in India – and tonight there are calls for an urgent parliamentary inquiry into the out-sourcing of financial information.

Sue Turton went undercover in India for the investigation and met a ‘middleman’ apparently happy to sell data in breach of data protection
